[Scene I: Classroom. Nakapuwesto it pabilog ang mga purungkuan. Amo lang dya ang gina-iwagan kang suga. Nakapalibot ang lima nga mga estudyante—Alma, Grace, Charity, Verita, kag Lea. Nursing students. Ginasaulo nila ang ilang turun-an sa NCM. Sekswalidad ang unod sang ilang turun-an. Mamangkot ang isa sa ila kag dayon nga sabton ini sang isa.]

CHARITY
It is a term which refers to vaginal-penile penetration, wherein the penis is withdrawn prior to ejaculation in the hopes of avoiding conception. While it may be commonly practiced, this is not an effective method of contraception.

CHARITY

Salpyngitis, spermatogenesis, encephalopathy, dysplasia, adnexitis, agammaglobulinaemia, vaginismus, alopesia…ahh! I hate this. I hate this!


VERITA
Naano ka?


ALMA
Ngaa? Ngaa ginapasaulo kita sini? Mga medical terms nga sa urihi indi man naton magamit. Malipatan man naton. Bisan ano man naton ini ka memorize, wala man gihapon nagapabilin sa ulo naton. Ano ang pulos sini? Ano? Para lang may masabat sa exam? Para indi ta madeload? Natak-an na ko ya nga ginatambakan ta handouts para lang sauluhon ta.

GRACE
Ti, ano ya gusto mo? Mabasa basa tula? Masulat sulat? ‘Nano ka ya man? Wala mo bala ginapanumdom imo buwasdamlag? Hello! Sa endometriosis kag sa epitiosomy ayhan nakasalalay ang aton kapalaran bilang nursing students, no? Hay, kon indi ta ni pagsaulhon, ano ya aton isabat sa mga doctor kag pasyente? To be or not to be? That is the question?

LEA
Al, naintindihan ko man ginabatyag mo a. Bisan ako man, amo man na ginapamangkot ko sa akon kaugalingon. Para ano nga saulhon ta ni? Pila nga daan aton major subjects kag kada lesson hatagan ta sang mga handouts kag pareporton sang mga topics nga haros naton maintyendehan? Pero ano mahimo ta? Choice naton ni.


CHARITY
Tsakto si Lea. Nursing is our choice. Ti ano pa para magreklamo ‘ta? Kon ako sa imo girl, tutdan ko na lang na ang Pablo Neruda nga na kag ihaplak sa akon guya… ini.

Stop!... Paano ang ginhambal ni Sir Marcus? Indi bala indi man gid importante nga hanasun ang atun nga mind? Di ba mas importante ang soul? I mean, gina take ta ni ang course for hope nga makagwa ta sa Pilipinas, para makapangita daku nga sweldo. Pero di bala hambal ya, money isn’t everything? Passion… amo na ang importante…

GRACE
Puhleez! Al. Gapati ka sa iya ginapanghambal? Wa-i na ya sige iya suweldo. Hay, sa tuod lang, daw wala gid ko ya may nahawiran sa iya ginapangwaka ya.

VERITA
Huo, girl e. Gatululo ya laway mo sa tulog kon magdiscuss siya. Kag isa pa, labot man ya naton kon magsuicide si Romeo kag si Juliet ukon ano ang meaning sang vermisilitude… vemirisilitude.


LEA
Verimisilitude… Hangag.


VERITA
Whatever.
